Mozart Birthday

What a lot of fun we had on Jan 27 celebrating Mozart’s birthday. Thank you to all the students who performed and everyone who came to the recital!

Recital Opportunity

The Riverside Young Musicians Club is hosting another benefit recital on February 28 at the Temecula Public Library. This is open to all students, especially a great opportunity for those doing the Certificate of Merit to run through their exam repertoire. The recital will start at 2pm, $15 donation is requested per family and proceeds will go to a charity organization. Sign-up sheet at the studio.

Student of the Month – Gabriella Pryce

Hi! I am Gabriella Pryce. I am an eighth grade student at Shivela Middle School. One of my favorite things to do is play the piano, but I also like to swim, draw, and play tennis. I also love to play games with my family. I started piano lessons just before my 4th birthday. I wish that Ms Yiyi could have been my teacher when I was younger! But I am happy that she is my teacher now. Recently I submitted an original musical composition for the National PTA Reflections Creative Arts Competition. It was chosen for first place in the Intermediate Level from all Murrieta School District middle schools. I feel very fortunate that my composition will now move on to be considered at the regional level which includes all of Riverside County.

Teacher comment: Gabby is a pleasure to see every week. She is so conscientious of her responsibilities as a student, and always comes to her lessons meticulously prepared. In just over one year, Gabby has improved so much in her playing abilities and will do Certificate of Merit level 6 exam this year. She completed 6 levels of music theory worksheets during my maternity break! I am very happy to be her teacher, and I know she will continue to do great at piano!
