Welcome to New Students

Welcome to the following new students to the studio: Anna Ingram, Andrew Maravel, Edwin and Elina Kuang.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Jason Hu, who recently passed ABRSM Grade 5 Theory Exam with Distinction! The ABRSM is an international music examination, considered the most difficult of all music exams. Grade 5 Theory is a prerequisite for higher performance exams. Well done, Jason!

Temecula Valley Spring Music Festival

9 students are participating in this year’s TVMTA Spring Music Festival on May 7: Shania Jin, Thien Sa and Sam Luyen, Hailey Wiltse, Meijke Balay-Mickelson, Andreas Shaefer, Maggie Liu, Andrew Tang and Katie Ocampo. Good luck to everyone!

Update: I am very happy and proud to announce that everyone received Superior rating for BOTH solos! They will be invited to perform at the Honors recital and receive double medals! Congratulations to all the students!

MTAC Student Recital

The following students are performing on May 14 at the MTAC Student Musicale Recital in the Temecula Library (Pauba Road): Sophie, Thien Sa and Sam Luyen, Jaden Oh, Maggie Liu, and Meijke Balay-Mickelson. The recital starts at 3:45pm and is open to the public.

National Piano Guild Auditions

The first round is on May 15. The following students are participating: Alexa Willis, Olivia Melton, Aubrey Mitschang, Meijke Balay-Mickelson, Maggie Liu, Claire and John Howard. Remember to practice extra hard for the next two weeks!

May Group Classes

Group A (6 and under): May 31 Tuesday 5:30pm

Group B (7 – 10 year olds): May 30 Monday 6:30pm

Group C (10 – 12 year olds): May 31 Tuesday 6pm

Group D (12 years and above): May 30 Monday 5:30pm

Studio Summer Recital

This is scheduled on July 2, 2pm at the Recital Hall of Piano Warehouse, 307 E. Carmel Street San Marcos, CA 92069. This location is the audition center for the July round of National Piano Guild Auditions. There is a beautiful stage and very nice grand piano! For those of you doing auditions in July, this is your opportunity to try the piano out and get used to performing on a formal stage. If you are interested to play, please fill out registration form below and include registration fee with your May tuition. Registration is $15 per student. Everyone is welcome, especially beginners! Registration closes May 31.
