Student of the Month – Elsa Long

imageMy name is Elsa Paris Long and I was born in Murrieta, California.  I am 11 years old and currently go to Warm Springs Middle School.  I have maintained gold honor rolls throughout my school years.  I like to read, play volleyball, draw, craft, and learn Mandarin.  I was invited  to participate in AVID.  I joined band and have been playing trumpet for two years.  I also had a journal entry selected to be in my school literary book.  I like to travel and explore nature.  I want to continue further in my education to get a degree in the medical field to become a cardiologist.

Teacher Comment: Elsa came to me as a beginner in late 2014. She has been such a hard working student and has made tremendous progress. Every week, she prepares no less than 8 or 9 pieces for me. As a relatively late starter to piano, she has been determined to do her best to catch up. This year, she participated in two exams back-to-back: Certificate of Merit Level 1 (Excellent Rating for all test areas), as well as Royal Conservatory Music Developmemt Program Level 2 Piano Performamce Exam (results not yet available). I have no doubt she did great at the RCM exam! Next year, I can see her do CM Level 3 and RCM Level 4. Elsa has a great attitude to learning, I am not surprised to read about her other achievements in her bio. I am sure her piano study will compliment her academic endeavors, and I am super happy to have her in my studio!
