CAPMT Solo and Ensemble Auditions
What: Click here to read about it
When: usually held on first Saturday of November
Cost: $30
Audition Requirement: two memorized solo pieces and one duet
Who should participate: students that love a challenge and are willing to put in extra effort, especially for the duet commitment. Previous audition experience is preferable but not necessary. Students at level 5 or above need minimum 45 min weekly lessons.
Registration: Registration form for this year is not available yet, but I need to know who would like to go for this by AUGUST 15, so I can pair you up with another student for the ensemble performances. Email me and pay the registration fee by August 15 if you are interested.
MTAC Sonata/Sonatina Festival
What: This event is organized by the Temecula Valley branch of the Music Teachers Association of California. It is in recital format held at the Temecula Public Library – students perform in front of an audience and a judge. All participants receive a certificate of performance, and students scoring rating of 5 receive trophy.
When: November 10
Cost: $15
Audition Requirement: one memorized movement of a sonata/sonatina
Who should participate: This is a good event to do if you want to gain your first audition experience! Only one piece is required, so it is very achievable. On the other hand, it is also a good event to do to keep the experienced students motivated to work hard towards a goal.
Registration: email me and pay the registration fee by August 31.
Upcoming Student Recitals
