Congratulations
May was a busy month for many of our students:
May 5 – Sophie, Sam, and Thien Sa Luyen, Shania Jin, Fiona Harley, Maggie Liu, Andrew Maravel, Kaitlyn Hetsko, Cecelia Lopez, Hailey Wiltse, and Josh Barber participated in the Temecula Valley Spring Music Festival.
May 12 – Maggie Collera, Hailey Wiltse, Alex Liu, Kaitlyn Hetsko, Jaden Oh, Cecelia Lopez performed in the Music Teachers Association of California Temecula Valley Branch Recital at Temecula Public Library.
May 19 – Kaitlyn Hetsko, Sam Luyen, Thien Sa Luyen, Maggie Liu, Josh Barber, and Fiona Harley received Gold Medal at Temecula Valley Spring Music Festival. They were invited to perform at Honors Recital at the Grace Presbyterian Church.
Southern California Junior Bach Festival
On May 12, Andrew Tang competed in the Regional festival of the Southern California Junior Bach Festival – Andrew was a regional winner and will proceed to compete in the state final “Complete Works Audition.” This festival is highly competitive – students first compete in the Branch festival in February, the winners proceed to the Regional festival in May, and the winners from each Region then compete in the state final later in the year.
Temecula Valley Young Artist Competition
I am extremely proud to announce that two students took home 1st Prize at the 5th Temecula Young Artist Piano Competition held on June 2. Maggie Liu won the 4th-6th grade division, and Andrew Tang won the 7th-8th grade division. There were 17 students in Maggie’s division and 15 in Andrews – all were outstanding! Studio Summer Recital

June/July Schedule
No regular lessons on June 29 & 30 (5th week of month), unless you have been scheduled make ups or have made other arrangements with me.
Group Class: Friday June 22, 3:30pm
Studio Summer Break: July 1 – July 17. All lessons resume on July 18. Remember to let me know if you are taking vacation outside of studio break.
